ANGEL SONG BENTON

Angel Song Benton is a Cambodian-American artist based out of Long Beach, California. His primary work focuses on immersive, narrative storytelling and video game development, as well as composing multimedia projects and art exhibits that incorporate both digital and practical elements. Much of his practice revolves around his identity as a first-generation Asian-American in the Cambodian diaspora, his experiences while serving and deployed in the United States military, and the tribulations of trauma and physical and mental health. By developing a creative synthesis, his works and initiatives aim to fuse storytelling, interactive media, and technology with the intention of realizing a better future for all, while reconciling with the past.
